My Train Set

Whether you’re a novice or veteran collector–or purchasing baby’s first train set–you’re hung up on trains.  And why shouldn’t you be?   Most of us grew up with a Lionel Train Set under our Christmas tree…or the kid next door’s.  And what we wouldn’t give to have that old set back that Mom gave away with the teddy bears and the wooden puzzles!

And isn’t it neat that we can justify the fun as educational as well?  After all, as you create your villages and urban and rural settings, you are also working with history, sociology, psychology, the environment, geography, climate changes, rural settings and urban planning.  You are developing small motor skills and dexterity, anaptitude for scenic design, costuming, carpentry, electrics, lighting, layout, and physical logistics and scheduling.

And you thought you were just having fun!
